It’s an epidemic

There used to be a time when doctors were the only ones who were made fun of when it came to bad handwriting. As of today, there are a lot more people who give them company. Like I said, it’s an epidemic. The average “beauty” of handwriting has gone down a few notches. Correction, several notches.
My brother often compares my handwriting to bird droppings. And why won’t he? It does look like that now. And it used to be so good! Way, way long back when I used to win awards for handwriting (during kindergarten, not middle school) even an illiterate could point out it was beautiful handwriting.
Then I grew up. No wait, that is yet to happen. This, I think, is the real culprit. :)
This is another in my series of “Thoughts in 2D“.

I know someone who was told to write in capital letters in a college exam because the professor simply could not understand his handwriting. Yours is legible, well at least in the second picture it is :P

I won the rotary club prize for my handwriting. And now i dont know how to describe it, its odd and ugly, its looks like i am still a struggling teenager. You know how grown-ups write like, neat set handwriting. I dont think id ever achieve that. Thanks to my keyboard !

Sigh, my handwriting has, quite eloquently I might add, been called chicken-scratch. And yeah, a lot of folks in my family tried to convince me to try out medicine just because my handwriting was bad. These days though, I feel handwriting has become largely irrelevant.

Delphian Oracle: I know exactly you are talking about! :)
Aditya: Heh heh… Handwriting determining your future? :D

Well, I took up engineering eventually. Although, if I did take up medicine, a lot of people would be getting very different medicines from what I’d have prescribed.

You obviously haven’t seen Tanuka’s handwriting.

I did, I did. And I also commented to her that it is wonderful! She is an exceptional case!
