They said it wasn’t difficult!

Aah, graduate life… It’s literally like you don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel for days weeks months years. And probably when you do see it, it could be a train approaching. Where am I in my research? Oh, I haven’t found the tunnel yet.

The results slide is overrated!

The results slide is overrated!

What? No! This is not MY research! It says ‘YOUR RESEARCH PROPOSES’… not mine! :-|

I liked the ‘something’ and ‘something else’ as axis labels. That is how my research project was born. Finally, there was ‘completely something else’ which gave me results on which i can build some story. I should finish within the next 2-3 months and i hope its not the ‘train’ approaching me. :)

Good to see that you are posting regularly these days. Keep it up!

LOL! I love the “completely something else” part… :D

You are finishing in 2-3 months – that’s great news! Feels great (cough… envious… cough) that you are so close to graduating. :) Good luck for your defense!

It has been five and a half years yaar… It is high time I graduate. All the best to you. :)

I am going to take longer than 6 years. By the time I graduate, there is going to be a generation gap between me and the fresh graduate students. Sigh…

  4. Shazia says:

Don’t even mention ‘generation-gap’. I have kids as much as 8 years younger than me in the department. *Sigh*
I want to run away from this place before the fresh batch joins in July.

  5. Kokonad says:

    Oooh… 8 years, huh? Ouch! :D

  6. Shazia says:

And that is because TIFR also has a Masters program. Fresh graduates, 21-22 years old, join the dept every year. And i feel like a grandmom… :(

I am not a research student per se, but we do have this M.A thesis thing and its getting onto my nerves. When i wrote the synopsis, i had absolutely no idea of how difficult it would soon become. I dont have much time either. In 5 weeks i have to submit this mini thesis of about 100 to 120 pages, God ami more jabo kintu ato likhte parbo na. Good luck to you. :)

D.O., it’s all a combination of creative writing and lots of caffeine. As a variation of the aforementioned recipe, you could substitute the latter with mind bending drugs too. :P Trust me, they all work beautifully nicely.
      Thanks for dropping by! :)
