Reflecting pool

Library, University of Notre Dame. The facade was yellowish in the light, but for some reason, I was getting this greenish tinge. Four photographs stitched together (top to bottom) because I was unable to get the whole of the library in the reflecting pool. It is one of my favorite shots!

Oh wow, that’s beautiful. Where is this? I’ve seen the reflection pool in Boston in person, and it’s gorgeous. But this is just stunning!

Thanks Gkam, Archana and Seema! :)
Arch: The reflecting pool in Boston as absolutely breath taking as well!
Seema: This was taken using a Nikon D90 with 18-105mm VR on a tripod with long exposure. It is a total of 4 photos stitched together. :) Thanks for dropping by and commenting!

Ketki: Yup! Photoshop stitching is pretty neat! They keep perspectives in their algorithm :)

Neat work there with the stitching! Though I wonder how big the library building is, because from the photo the distance looks far enough to be able to capture it in a single frame.

Nikhil – Interestingly even I always thought that after the stitching. The vantage point of the photo was at the end of the reflecting pool. Getting the whole library was not a problem. But it was the only place where I could obtain the whole reflection. And if I got the whole reflection, the building was not in the shot.
